Oakley has finally started pulling himself up to furniture. It all started yesterday while his sister was taking a bath at grandmas, and he really wanted to get in. He pulled himself right up to the bathtub and tried to climb on in. Now that he knows he can do it, he has been pulling himself up to everything possible. He especially loves to do it because his favorite person (Kalle) keeps giving him praise and clapping for him.

Even though this happened a week before "the blog," I thought it would be a fun thing to put on here. Who wants to be a millionaire came to phoenix for tryouts. I knew this was my sort of thing (plus- who couldn't use an easy million bucks?) Well, let me tell you, it wasn't as "easy" as I thought. You know you watch the show, and you think, "I am totally smarter than that- I should be on this show!" Well, Ashley and I tried out... and didn't pass the test! But it was SOOO much fun that I would actually do it again given the chance! Tryouts started at 9am so I woke up at 4:15, and Ashley came and picked me up at 4:45 and we headed to the casino. We were the 81st and 82nd people in line (the first person had been there since 8:30am the morning before!!!) We waited outside a few hours, then inside a few hours. We filled out questionnaires being as witty as we could (e.g. How would being a millionaire change your life?-- I could stop buying everything I own off ebay and I could stock up on all the Dr. Pepper I could drink) The best part was hanging out with Ashley, and, even though we were in line for a good 3 1/2 hours, it felt like much shorter. We got to go back for testing around 8:30. First we has a Netflix movie test where I knew a whopping 3 questions out of 30. Then we took the real test. I felt really good about it. I knew 25 of them for sure. Well, of the ones I didn't know, I think I might have missed 4 of them. I did guess right that "eve with a lid" is apple pie. I was not so lucky on where the Rio Grande river originates (I guessed Arizona... it doesn't even travel through Arizona... it's Colorado) Well, needless to say, we didn't make it on to the interview part. I guess I'm not destined to be a millionaire this year... maybe Ill try out again next year!

Well, as you can see, my sister started this blog for me. She has been bugging me for months to start one, but I never thought I would like it. I have been working on it most of the day today... I guess I like it! This will be a fun way to document our lives on a regular basis- hopefully I keep up on it. Anyway, here we go...
