Watch out... here come a LOT of pictures!

We have had a very fun busy week. Here are a few things we have been up to:

Uncle Taylor came to visit. He met Brennen and stayed for dinner. Kalle was bouncing off the walls, excited all day- and was not dissapointed. Uncle Taylor chatted with her during dinner and even played baseball with her afterwards. She now asks me multiple times a day when he is going to come again!

We LOVE to play at Grandma and Grandpa's house. They are so much fun!

Kalle started ballet this week. We got some dance clothes on Saturday and she just HAD to try them on again when we got home. Oakley felt left out so screamed until I would let him in on the fun. He will just LOVE this picture in a few years!

Kalle wore her ballet slippers all morning in anticipation.

We are on our way!

I didn't want to destract her during dance class, but here is the picture after she has her regular shoes back on when all the girls get to geta drink.
And we have still been lovin' on Brennen! He is such a joy!

He likes to play with/chew on this blue toy. After a few miutes the other day, I found him like this:We are busy and happy!

Seriously, so funny!

I just found this HILARIOUS blog http://www.seriouslysoblessed.blogspot.com/

Read the post from August 11th- pretty funny.

I have probably said a few things on my blog that she makes fun of... but hey, I can laugh at myself!

Brennen update

I haven't posted pictures of Brennen in awhile, so I thought I would give an update. He's four months tomorrow. He will put ANYTHING (that he can keep a hold of) in his mouth. He will smile at Kalle and Oakley anytime they will hold still longer that 2 seconds to smile at him. He still wakes up 1-2 times a night... we are going to start working on that. He is still bald. He talks and giggles for Brandt every night... it is way too cute. He insists on wearing long sleeves and pants 24/7 even though it is 200 degrees... believe me, he protests if he is not covered. Lastly, he is HUGE!!! We will see if he is still in the 95% for both height and weight at his four month check-up on friday.

Tender Moments

Sometimes I wonder if my kids are even getting anything out of Family Home Evening. I try and plan a lesson that is on Kalle's level, but with the baby crying, and Oakley whining because he doesnt want to sit, I often wonder. It is times like today when it makes it all worth it.

Kalle and Oakley were watching the part of the Wizard of Oz where they meet the Lion.

Kalle: Mom, when the Lion was naughty to Dorothy, I think he lost the Holy Ghost.

Me: I bet you're right

Kalle: I think that's why he was crying

A few days ago Oakley wanted to get Kalle's attention. He pulled her hair pretty hard. While she was sobbing, she pointed her finger at him and yelled, "Oakley, now you lost the Holy Ghost!"

How tender. I love to hear what she is thinking.
